For 16-year-old Vancouver singer/songwriter Kate Kurdyak, music has been a part of her life for as long as she can remember. Kate made her first foray into song writing at the age of 12. In 2010, she entered a song that was shortlisted in CBC's OTC Unplugged contest for High School Singer-Songwriters. Kate can be found playing in local coffeehouses in and around Vancouver or busking on sunny days at Granville Island.
Kate recently began writing strings parts for songs and wants to thank her wonderful classmates at Byng for helping her record the tracks for “Lovers or Friends”. Gabriella Schauber (violin), Natasha Laponce (violin), Fiona Simons (viola), Jenna Choo (cello)
