What started out strong in 2010 with the debut album “All or nothing,” Live Shows, and then the subsequent EP “Missed the Bus” in 2011, suddenly and awkwardly dissolved. Band members went their separate ways. Live shows never materialized. Everything went silent…
It’s been a long time coming, but Blackburn is back! We introduced three new members to the fold who not only add their own flavours to the Blackburn style of music, but are ready to fight to make Blackburn something special. Something better. We’ve got the exuberant energy of Jens Lundsbye on bass, the eclectic stylings of Dax on second guitar, and last but not least, the outstanding rhythms of Sean on drums. Oh, and of course, Lee on guitar and Brent’s vocals.
So, what’s in the works for 2012? Well, aside from reviving the ideals behind Blackburn as a group, we’ve entered three new songs into Seeds 2012 (which you already knew), are gearing up to introduce a ton of new songs and a new album very, very soon, and we’re itching to get our collective asses onto various stages around the Lower Mainland of BC to show ourselves off. Keep your eyes peeled and ears agape for news about our tunes and an exciting new direction for Blackburn.
Happy Seeding!

Hey guys,
Thanks for the great comment on Undivided. Always great to have feedback from our musical friends. I loved your acoustic song Arahant. In all honesty, I am a big Disturbed fan and, even though our heavier style doesn't compare to SOA, I enjoyed your heavier songs, especially Optimus! I'm sure I speak for the boys in Blackburn when I say I hope you guys kick some ass in Seeds!
See you on stage soon!
